Capture
Add an application
The fastest way to add a job on the website is to paste the posting URL and review what Applicairn read before you save it.
From the dashboard, start a capture. You can also open Add and fill the fields yourself when you already know them, or when the page could not be fetched.
Paste a URL
- Start a new application and paste the posting link. A full URL works (
https://stripe.com/jobs/senior-software-engineer). A host and path without the scheme is accepted too. - Applicairn fetches the page. This step reads the posting and stores a snapshot.
- Review the result. Company and role are required. Check location, salary, the posting URL, the company site, and the apply link.
- Save. You land on the new application page.
If the fetch fails, retry it or switch to the manual form and type the fields in. Closing the review before you save discards the snapshot that was just uploaded, so an abandoned capture does not leave a file behind.
Duplicates
Saving a URL you already track opens a dialog that lists the matching applications. You can cancel and open the existing one, or save another row anyway when you really did apply twice.
What gets stored
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Company and role | Required. Shown as the title of the application. |
| Posting URL | The page you captured. Used for duplicate checks. |
| Company URL and apply URL | The company site, and the link that opens the application form when it differs from the posting. |
| Location and salary | Free text, as printed on the posting. |
| Resume | Optional at save time. Attach one from the resume library on the application afterward. |
| Priority | One to five stars. The default is the middle of the scale. |
| Stage | New jobs start as Applied unless you set another stage. Saved is for roles you have not submitted yet. |
| Notes | A short note on the job itself. Longer running notes live on the application page. |
Postings from LinkedIn, Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, Indeed, and Wellfound are the boards the product is aimed at. Other public posting pages can still be fetched; review the fields, because layouts vary.
Manual entry
Use the manual form when you have the details and no public URL, or when the fetch errors. You enter the same fields. A manual job still shows up on the dashboard and can receive forwarded email later, matched by company and role.
The Chrome extension follows this same capture, review, and save sequence from the tab you are reading.
